Dust off your Lederhosen and steins--Munich is coming back to Lawrence!

The city of Lawrence is excited to present the return of the wildly popular 'Lagers in Lawrence' Oktoberfest. The 2021 event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 18th from 3pm - 7pm. This event will again be one of the largest and premier Oktoberfest events in all of central Indiana.

This German-themed event will take place at the city's outdoor Civic Plaza in the heart of Lawrence and will feature 25+ Indiana breweries, wineries & distilleries. Attendees will be allowed UNLIMITED POURS of more than 100+ craft beverages. The event will feature all styles of beer in addition to the popular Lager styles. And not to worry, there will be plenty of pretzels.

In addition to featuring one of Indy's best DJ's who will be playing all of your favorite dance hits on stage, we're ALSO excited to feature the Liederkranz Brass Band--a 15-piece authentic Munich Oktoberfest-style German band who will also be performing from 4pm - 6pm!

For you food lovers, get excited! We'll be featuring several great food vendors!

NEW FOR 2021: We're excited to introduce Oktoberfest-style, Weiner Dog Racing! That's right, Dachshunds of all shapes and sizes from around central Indiana will be racing in multiple heats throughout the event in the 'Running of the Weiners,' with the winners competing in the championship heat at the end for the honor of 'Fastest Weiner.' Trust us--if you've never seen it, you don't want to miss it!

Games, raffles and more will again play part in the afternoon's entertainment as well. The event will also feature several classical German dance routines from the Fort Wayne Tanzer Dance Group. It's spectacular to see--you don't want to miss it.

BRING YOUR OWN BEER STEIN! While tasting cups will be provided to all attendees upon entry, we encourage all attendees to bring their favorite stein or beer mug to the event for larger samples.

The event will also play host to a "Masskrugstemmen" (stein-holding) competition for the crowd to enjoy. A select number of event attendees will be allowed to compete in this unique Bavarian feat of strength and endurance competition where contestants must hold a 1-liter stein of beer out in front of them (at shoulder level) for as long as they can. Prizes and trophies will be awarded to the winners.

Gates will open for VIP entry from 3pm - 4pm, with General Admission entry beginning at 4pm. VIP ticket buyers will have an extra hour to enjoy the event. Designated Drivers with tickets may enter the event at any time.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to a local charity of the city's choice, to be announced soon.

This is a 21+ event. All attendees must show a valid photo I.D. at the gate upon entry. You must be 21 years or older to attend--this includes Designated Drivers. No exceptions. All ticket sales are final. The event will be held rain or shine.

(In order to increase vendor and attendee safety due to Covid-19, the festival will 1) Increase social distance between booths, 2) Use pitchers to provide touchless pours, 3) Provide hand sanitizer and washing stations, and 4) Limit the event to less than 500 people. Masks are required when entering and exiting the event. Masks are encouraged (but not required) once inside the event if you feel you are not able to safely social distance. We will have masks available for purchase at the entry if needed.

In the unlikely event the festival is cancelled, ticket buyers will received an immediate and full refund. *By purchasing a ticket and attending the event, you and your guests agree to incur any potential health risks and will not hold Indiana On Tap or the city of Lawrence liable for any future illnesses.
